Oban Skate trip April 2017.

Three of our members went away on a long weekend trip to Oban in Scotland for some Skate fishing in April 2017.

They caught some fantastic fish over the weekend.

This is Ziggy on his Scottish fishing holiday with the largest Skate he caught weighing 199lb, a quick photo and it was returned safely to the deep.

Over in 3 days the three of them 3 caught and released 17 skate for a total weight of 1971lbs this is the best 199lb

So far 2019 wasn’t the year we hoped it would have been, 7 of the 9 fishing trips booked up till now (Aug) have been blown off. We did get out on our trip to Sunderland for some codling on the rough ground and also our trip to Weymouth produced a few nice fish, Tub Gurnard of 4lb 8oz, Ballan wrasse of 6lb 8oz & Pollock to 10lb,

We have got 5 more trips booked this year so fingers crossed for better weather over the rest of the year.

Check out our other trips here.
